The Anacostia Murals Festival is an annual spring event that takes place in the month of May. 2025 was the first year for the 18 day event. The CHBC Arts Foundation puts on the festival which supports over 100 artists to create over 100 murals around the Anacostia area.
Blank and brick walls across Anacostia, Deanwood, Minnesota Avenue, and Pennsylvania Avenue East have been transformed into a massive open-air gallery for everyone to enjoy.
